PLEASE READ! positive beginning, negative ending This restaurant proved itself to have an upscale service with excelent food. The seafood and salad were fresh. I've ordered for entrée the Bang Bang shrimp ($7.90) which a signature dish to the restaurant. I'd never imagined giant shrimps marinated with honey-mustard on a bed of ceasar's salad would be so good. I then had the restaurant's special of a spicey grouper fish with rice ($18.90) which was excelent as well. I was given a choice of soup or salad before. I chose the soup (corn chowder with lump clam) also great. (The waiter never said that it would be for an additonal cost but I understood it was) My wife ordered Lily Chicken ($12.90) and was give a choice of taking salad or soup for an additional $2.80. She chose a salad. She found her food great. I ordered from the kids menu for my 2 and 5year olds Macaroni and cheese and chicken tenders(each $4.90). The tenders portion was for prepared for an adult. For desert my wife only had a coffee and I ordered a keylime pie($5.50) and brownie ($5.50) for the kids. WOW! the portions were big and well presented. The brownie came with cream and ice cream and was very moist topped with mint leafs and the portion was big enough to be a meal by itself. The four of us could not finish it off. The Bill came in with some confusion. It was totalled at $106.xx My grouper and soup was rounded off to their financial favor ($18.90 + 2.80= $22.00??). Mac + cheese was replaced with spagh w/meatball (same price). My wife's ceasar salad was $4.90 instead of $2.80 and the waiter would not fix it. and her Lily chicken $13.90 instead of $12.90 The brownie was charged 3 times instead of 1 (that was corrected) The waiter automatically included gratuity in the check. My wife and I agreed not to leave additional tip because of the pettiness of the extra little charges that don't reflect the menu. In addition, The party at the table next to us had the same waiter and asked him for change of a $20 bill to leave him a tip He brought them the change 40 cents less. The lady turned to me and said "she had planned a $10 tip for him but the waiter chose his own tip at $0.40 and that's all he was getting. sloizos

I ordered the shrimp and scallops. The scallops were mediocre and the shrimp were undersized for the price. The waiter ignored us. He was totally involved in a conversation at a table next to us most of the time. When I accidentally spilled my ice water, he returned 15 minutes later and covered the water and ice with a black napkin on a white tablecloth. After taking our orders, bread was served 15 minutes later, followed by bread plates 5 minutes later, followed by the oil to dip the bread 5 minutes after that. The bill for four with tip was close to $90. I will not return.

This review is for the Surfside Beach location which I could not find listed. My husband & I had eaten there only once before and were totally impressed with the food & service. He had the steak & crabcake combo and I had the shrimp & scallop combo. Both were excellent! We decided to return this past Friday night but never did get to eat. We left after having waited for 50 minutes! The only thing served to us was the water and bread (no bread & butter plates). It appeared that the larger parties were being catered to and some had arrived after we did. We did manage to connect with our waitress and she said she would check our meal status but never did return. This has left us feeling some places would prefer to cater to a larger drinking clientele.

We loved this restaurant. The comment we made was "if we had tried this place earlier in the week we would have come back at least 2 other times" The food was outstanding to say the least. If I could have given 10 stars for the value I would. We had the Bang Bang shrimp and it was fantastic. I ordered the shrimp and scallops with the lemon butter sauce and if I could have licked my plate off without anyone seeing I would have. My dining partners ordered the lobster and felt the same way it was so sweet and cooked to perfection. Other meals were steak and were also enjoyed just as much. We made the mistake of ordering dessert. The reason I say mistake is #1 we were already full and this put the top on it. If you order dessert there be ready to to share as they sizes are enought for the entire party. We ordered 3 and had way to much to eat. They were yummy!! The bottles of wine were very reasonable as was the entire meal. I can't say enough about this restaurant. The only negative things I have to say is we don't have one even close to where we live.

We are out of town visitors who are only here in the off season, so crowds are rarely if ever an issue for us. I would love to find the perfect local seafood restaurant in North Myrtle serving only the best quality seafood. Even if I do find it Bonefish will still be very high on my list. Tonight was our first meal there but certainly won't be our last.

The bang bang shrimp appetizer is simply superb, and the Gulf shrimp and scallops dish was superb also. Tremendous service. A great dining experience at a mid-range price, about $40 for us as a couple (my wife enjoyed the shrimp so much, she ordered another serving as her entree...and she's not a shrimp person.)

With so many restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area, I felt unless your a local, it's a crap shoot as to finding a good seafood place. I figured a chain would be the best bet and I have to say this was one of the nicest dining experiences I have ever had! I have to admit we were in town in the off season so length of time to be seated and noise level were pretty much non-existent. The restaurant was very well manicured, atmosphere was relaxing. The seafood I had was excellent...crab cake appetizer is a must. My wife had the steak which was not the best, but a good alternative for non seafood eaters. Service was excellent and I was quite surprised at the prices which I thought were very reasonable. Seafood lovers cannot go wrong here!! If only there were a Bonefish where I live.

We moved to myrtle beach 2 months ago and wanted to try all the restaurants on restaurant row. We read the reviews of this restaurant and decided to try it. We were very disappointed and we will not go back again. Our dishes were the chilean sea bass and the chicken portabello pasta. The sea bass and the mashed potatoes came out so cold that the meal had to be sent back to be reheated. When it came out again, the fish was warm and the potatoes still ice cold. The chicken dish was hot but swimming in a cream sauce that made the dish a little much. The price of the fish was high but that wasn`t a concern as long as it was good, but it wasn`t. It really tasted like an ordinary white fish(cold and bland). We were really unhappy and left hungry. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Maybe it was an off night for the chef but it didn`t compensate for the bill or my appetite.

Wonderful restaurant. Good service, delicious food! we arrived at the restaurant between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. And were seated immediately. Around 6 p.m. The restaurant was full and on our way out I heard that there was a 20 minute wait. The prices are reasonable. Appetizer was $7.50 for the bang bang shrimp. It was 7 oz. Of shrimp with a crusty coating in a spicy cream sauce. Very spicy and rich, but good. Entrees were around $20 which included the meat, vegetable medley, a side and bread. Salad or chowder is extra at $2.80. We had the house salad which comes with a light, fruity vinaigrette house dressing that was delicious. Be aware that the blue cheese or feta cheese topping is an additional charge but really makes the salad. We had the macadamia nut mahi mahi with a side of potatoes... Yum! the fish was cooked to perfection and the topping was a nice blend of macadamia nuts, pineapple and red peppers. The zucchini vegetable medley was not like you get at most restaurants. Much better and the potatoes were exceptional also. The servings were generous. My husband and I shared our entire meal. We were full after the appetizer, salad and bread. We took about half the entrée home and had it for lunch the next day. Our waitress was very professional, pleasant and helpful. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and helpful in making our meal selection since the menu is extensive. She also had the kitchen to split our meal including the salad so we did not have to eat off the same plate with no extra charge. It was a very pleasant dining experience!.

We recently had the pleasure of eating at the N. Myrtle Beach BoneFish Grill and found it to be superb! Fortunately our host had made reservations and as soon as we arrived, we were seated at our table. Nancy was our waitress and she was Excellent in her service and knowledge of the menu choices, recommending specific selections to us. Since I'd had been eating seafood for several days, I chose the Crusted Tenderloin and the serving portion was hugh, and I managed to take one whole piece home with us. Since we were leaving the next morning, I'm sure our host had it for dinner the next evening. My husband had the grouper with lobster thermidore and he raved about it also, as did our host. Our host had just moved to the Calabash area in mid June and BoneFish has become their favorite place to take their special guest. I'm glad we were in that special group! They have just opened a BF Grill in Frederick, Md. about 30 miles from us and we'll have to try that one. I noticed the expertise that all the waiters had in their knowledge of the menus and personal recommendations when asked by the guest they served. There was a waiting line outside of the restaurant waiting their turn to get in to be seated. They were sure in for a wonderful treat and the food was worth waiting for! Sure would love the chef's recipe for how that crusted tenderloin was prepared!

Ever since I ate at the Bonefish Grille in Memphis, Tennessee, I have been eager to eat there again and was thrilled to find one in Myrtle Beach. By far, one of the best restaurants I have eaten in and in fact, my husband says it IS the best restaurant he has eaten in. He had steak and I had Lily Chicken. Both were excellent, as was the service, atmosphere and price. Noise level picked up a little as more people were seated but was not annoying.

Music is way to loud. Restaurant was nearly empty and sound should have been reduced accirdingly. Wife had Lobster tails. Probably the worse ever. They came steamed which is a first for us. Unfortunately, they steam out all the flavor. Better either baked or broiled. Whole lobsters ok to steam because protected by shell. Sides were less than exciting or tasty. Another annoyance is that both the servers and managers come to your table and say things like " isn't everything wonderful" etc, etc. Are they that lacking in confidence? Positive attitude is ok but hearing this over and over is annoying especially when it is not wonderful.

i went to the new "bonefish" on the bypass at 544. i admit i was a bit reluctant knowing carabbas is in the same chain.{i'm not a real fan of fast food italian}. very pleasant surprise.very good service {after the high pressure bang bang shrimp sales pitch}. very good fresh fish. i had the ahi tuna dinner, and instead of the sauces opted for wasabi and ginger with soy cooked "barely killed", very good. nice to have your fish prepared the way you want it. also sampled was the broiled shrimp and scallops, perfectly done {with the blackened edges}. sides were pretty good as well. i don't see where others have said the prices were too high. fresh isn't "cheap" and i thought the prices {even the drink} were very fair. i will be back....and i am a local

Out of about 15 restaurants I've been to so far here, this is one of my three favorite restaurants since moving to Myrtle Beach this past February. The food is excellent, service good, nice atmosphere, and reasonable prices. If you are new to this town, this restaurant won't dissapoint you if you like fish. (The Mango Salsa, in my opinion, is their best sauce, though the Asian sauce is very good too.)

WOW. After a week's worth of very fine meals in MB this was our last night. We definitely saved the best for last. Off season it was uncrowded and a really nice atmosphere. Service was outstanding. I had a special which was grilled grouper with crabmeat and a lime sauce- excellent. My wife had Lily's Chicken and it was equally good. And like others have mentioned the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer was exceptional. Found out we have 2 Bonefish Grills about 11/2 hours from home. Can't wait to eat there again. Don't pass this place up.

This restaurant is amazing!! If you are looking for really great seafood, you will love Bonefish! I am very picky about seafood, and like good quality, and this satisfies it. The crab cakes, bang bang shrimp, and the tuna sushami appetizers are my favorite! The entrees are really great too, but I am never hungry anymore after the appetizers! An amazing restaurant!!!!!

Visited the Bonefish Grill on 7401 N Kings Hwy in Myrtle Beach on Wednesday November 1st, around 5 pm.

Atmosphere was excellent. Music level was good. The Bang Bang Shrimp was ok, nothing to write home about.

Ordered the Swordfish Thermidor. Unbelievably bad. Bland fish hidden under a thick coat of a tasteless sauce. The waitress refused to remove the meal from the bill, despite only two bites being eaten.

The coffee was decent and the Key Lime pie was the best I've ever eaten. Tangy filling and a graham cracker-peacan crust.

Conclusion? Avoid the fish dishes. They're awful. Go for the desert and the coffee.

Having read reviews on this site about the Bonefish Grill, we couldn't wait to try the Bang-Bang Shrimp.

It was absolutely fantastic, and we noticed others in the restaurant having it as their main course.

The service was excellent, waiting until we finished each course before bringing the next. Portions were large and unfortunately, there was no room for Bananas Foster!

Will definitely return to the Bonefish Grill on our next trip to the beach.

We are locals and love this place. Normally, living in a seafood area, we stay away from chains, but this is a favorite for us in North Myrtle Beach. Our guests enjoy it and we also find it so children friendly for the grans. The bang bang shrimp is great but try any of the grilled fish with choices of sauce or marinade. Pan Asian is our favorite. The wait staff is wonderful. Since NMB location opened, we have been many times and find the quality of food and service great. Menu is a great selection.
