We had high hopes for Bliss and on occasion have enjoyed some above average food at this quaint bistro but after two years the place just doesn't seem to care if it improves its obvious weak points or not. Since opening the experiences have gotten worse not better and that's a shame. Service is consistently bad, while any value has never been evident relative to what this pub costs to visit. The restaurant's decor is attractive and Bliss should be an enjoyable dining experience but it's not. Small portions, very high prices and poorly trained staff. This restaurant's specialty is disappointment and it consistently delivers. We've given up. ref: 26447

Ended up in seated in the bar. The bar tender was of Little personality and didn't make one feel welcome. His service was poor and was acting like we were not there much of the time. It took over an hour to get our main entry. He never came over to say anything about the time it was taking. Since I was in the business at one time, I understand when there is a bottleneck in the kitchen but don't egnore the table.
The food was pricey, the quality don't match it. Not a place on our return list! ref: 25906

The every occasion place, come in for a grand 7 course wine dinner or a quick bite. Great food great staff, a weekly stop for us.. ref: 25506

First the good. The food at Bliss leaves nothing to be desired, the menu choices are innovative, well prepared and fairly priced. Unfortunately, the service is so bad that you will find yourself lucky to ever even get your order taken.
Upon my last two consecutive visits, the service wasn't just bad, there was no service at all. For this review, I'll describe my most recent experience from this afternoon.
My wife and I walked in at 1:30 to find no hostess, a common situation during the off season in our area, so I asked one of the two servers on duty if we should grab a seat. The gentleman informed us we could sit anywhere we'd like. At this time we were one of four total tables and as a lifelong restaurant owner and manager, I know that this is an easy load for two servers. My wife and I sat at a table and began what became a 22 minute wait. During this time, both servers passed our table several times, took orders from the tables nearby and never did we even get a greeting much less a drink order. After 15 minutes or so, I got up, walked to the hostess stand and grabbed us two menus so that in the hopes of ever getting our order in, we'd at least be ready. Well that never happened. At one point, we actually overheard the servers discussing who would be waiting on our table so its not like they somehow didn't realize we weren't getting service. After watching these two ill-equipped servers continue to wait on the tables nearby while neglecting to even make eye contact with us, we decided to leave. On our way out, I stopped the server who had originally told us to seat ourselves and asked him if we could start over. He asked me, "why, what happened?" to which I replied, "nothing and that is why we are leaving." Great food here but after two service experiences like this one, we will not be back and that is a shame. ref: 24537
