We are locals and went in to try the restaurant so highly thought of by itself. Ordered the special, "steak and lobster", lobster Raw inside, a small 6oz steak they couldn't cook past raw either! Disgusting food! Waitress offered to get me another lobster?? Would not think of eating anything else served from that kitchen. Save yourself the money and disappointment. Go Elsewhere!!! ref: 26957

We would highly recommend this restaurant for it's friendly service and delicious food. We had the steak and ribs combo which was melt in your mouth tender! They serve a delicious yeast bread that tasted fresh from the oven. I can't wait to visit again! ref: 25092

We visited on 2-19-12 just as they opened in the afternoon. Our server, Trish I think, was very attentive to our wants and was very pleasant to deal with. Our steak and chicken and tenderloin tips were cooked to medium as we had ordered and had a very nice taste. The amount of food was a very good value for the cost. Nice surprises included very good bread which was brought to our table and a brown sauce / gravy which added a nice touch when we dipped pieces of the steak in it. Although it wasn't busy while we were there, we had absolutely no complaints and will certainly return. ref: 24679

After passing this restaurant many times, we finally decided to give it a try. Worst ribs I've ever had. They do not even look like baby back ribs. They were fatty and the sauce was lousy. I ordered mashed sweet potatoes for my side dish and it was barely warm. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! ref: 23025

As we always do, made a stop at Big Daddies for a great steak dinner. Never disappointed. The rib-eye doesn' even need a steak knife. Make sure to get a bowl of chili for starters and I recommend the augrautin potatoes for a side. Coldest beer on the beack, and server is always there when you need them. Manager came by twice to check on table. You don't find that happening much now days. This is one of our annual stops while in Myrtle Beach. You will be sorry if you don't give it a try. ref: 22747

Was traveling down Kings hwy from the Breakers Hotel looking for a BBQ place. Saw the headliner sign saying voted best in MB. starting to get busy at 5pm so a good sign. Special drinks daquri and margarita. both were very tasty and resonably priced. had fried oysters and mahi mahi for appetizer ,,both excellant. She Crab soup was to die for..rich and creamy with just he right amount of crab meat in it. one of us ate wings..very good. the rest of us ordered steak and ribs. and like the sign suggested they were the best we have ever ate. for four of us with drinks and appetizers and dinners $119. awesome service. the owner even stopped by a couple of times to make sure we were enjoying everything. Had dinner at Big Daddy's tonight and really enjoyed our meal. We both had the 10oz. sirloins which were cooked exactly as ordered and the augratin potatoes were delicious. Our bread basket and drinks were kept filled. Waitress was very attentive but not obtrusive. We're glad we discovered this steak house and hope it is supported by locals and tourists. With so many spots to choose from, it is good to find one that has such good food and very reasonable prices. ref: 21292

If you are wanting a great meal and service, this is the place to go. Been there twice and not one complaint. Wife and I both had 10oz sirloin and was perfect. No need for a steak knife. The au gratin potatoes are homemade. And don't forget to try a cup or bowl of their chili for starters. Some of the coldest beer on the beach. We go to Myrtle twice a year and this is one place we always return to because we know it will be perfect in everyway. ref: 21271

AWFUL! Kids meals are a complete rip off. Steak was way overcooked. The manager is the owner's son and he is a complete JERK so it doesnt do any good to complain when your order is completely wrong. ref: 20703

FLAWLESS! As a very picky eater I am super super quick to complain but this was really good food. Husband had the prime rib and I had the ribeye..we also added fried/grilled shrimp extras and the bbq ribs. Chili cheese fries too..so we tried a broad spectrum from the menu and it was all really tasty...If I could find a complaint it would be that the food was so hot we couldn't eat it! Ray was a delight as our server and brought things in advance of when we would need them..napkins, dipping sauces, drinks, more bread and was very personable and quite an asset to the restaurant. We are local folks and drove about 45 minutes to get there and we will happily do it again! Thanks too for the "locals" discount! I understand that they have coupons as well. GO HERE! You will not be disappointed. (try the blackberry cobbler hubby says! just like his granny used to make!) ref: 20692

We are locals in the Myrtle Beach area and decided to give this place a shot one night as we were out wandering around. Ahh where to start!? When we walked in there was a wait, which was expected for the time of the season. The "hostess" was very unfriendly and unprofessional...your typical redneck..but hey, it is Myrtle Beach, I've grown accustomed to it over the years! (I have lived here my whole life) Another couple walked in and walked to the bar while they waited for a table, at this point we had been waiting 20 minutes. When the table was cleared, we were astonished as she handed a girl two menus and told her to go seat the OTHER couple at the bar. Finally, we get seated and drinks were delivered promptly and our orders taken. 20 minutes goes by......30 minutes, and eventually EVERYONE around us, even people who had come in long after we arrived, have gotten their meals. Finally, my boyfriend finds the waitress and asks about our orders. She apologizes, and puts the orders on our table in about 5 minutes. Apparently, they had lost our orders in the back...and of course, they are completely wrong...cold....and terrible, to boot. The waitress assures us that the manager is on his way over...once again 20 minutes goes by, no manager. As we are finishing our meal, (nearly two hours after arriving here....and we barely even touched it!) the manager finally comes up explaining to us that the "coals had gotten cold..." which was highly improbable since everyone around us was eating steak...we inform him of all the trouble we have had at the establishment, and he decided to give us half off. I have to say that I wouldn't have expected a dime, but it is what it is. JUST STEER CLEAR! A bundle of money for poor service and a bad atmosphere :( Not worth it! ref: 20677

We decided to try this place because a big storm was threatening and we wanted to get off the road. Want a surprise. The food was great. We were seated promptly, The service was friendly.The price is no more than any other big name steakhouse. We put in on the list of places to return this year. ref: 19502
