The food was very good, but the amount of food you received for the money was a rip off. You have to pay for bread, and you don't get a lot of pasta. There is one thing when it comes to fine dining and another thing when you get child portions. ref: 10654 |

My wife and I made reservations to try out this restaurant and when we arrived, they had no record of the reservations. We finally were seated and the served acted as if he were doing us a favor in bringing our food to us. We were not told about specials, not offered drink refills, and not offered dessert. He brought the check, dropped it on the table and disappeared. The portions were small and the atmosphere was kitschy at best. We will NOT be back and have advised all of our friends and family to stay away. ref: 10112 |

We have eaten at Benny's probably 5 times. Food is very good, Benny is a great host. Be careful when coming with large party. Place is small. Dining room fine, but sometimes these parties end up in bar near front door and this was not acceptable. ref: 9516 |

Folks,
If you want great Itilian food with a great atmosphere, try this resturant. The size of the resturant is very small and intimate. The owner is always working at the bar and keeping an eye on the establishment. The food is always served hot and taste great. The value is on par with other similiar resturants ($40 - $60 for two depending on how much wine you drink). The resturant wants you to get what you will enjoy to eat. If the item you want to eat is not on the menu, they will make it for you anyways. For example, I like chicken parm which isn't on the menu. However, I asked for it and they made it. I must say it is very tasty. Also, spring for the garlic bread loaf. Each loaf is $2.00 but is worth it. I highly recommend this place. ref: 8884 |

Excellent! We have been to Benny Rappas several times and it is definitely a favorite! Their chalkboard menu changes often and everything on the menu is outstanding! If you don't see it - just ask! The calamari, bruschetta and garlic bread are must-haves! All of the pasta dishes are great but I love the ceasar salad! Nice wine list too! ref: 8736 |

We're "old" regular customers of Benny Rappa's, who moved away from Little River, SC, 5 years ago. We traveled back from Florida & had the pleasure of dining at the trattoria with lifelong friends from our hometown in NJ, this past week. We all had fabulous meals & a great time. We felt completely at home. The service was excellent, as well. As for the noise level, I confess that we must have raised that a bit ourselves! We look forward to returning to NMB & Benny Rappa's in the near future. ref: 8615 |

Excellent specials; chalkboard menu or anything you can think of, they'll make; "lemon chella" to die for...very festive atmosphere with Benny treating his customers like family!! One of the true gems in Myrtle. Best darn dirty martini in town(have Ben Make it). Have not found any menu or non menu item we have disliked yet! Wonderful atmosphere made us feel like we were in our own home. ref: 8468 |

My wife and I were seeking quality, "non-chain" Italian food, and this is what we found at this restaurant. I had chicken marsala and my wife had a "sampler" plate of the lasagna and eggplant parmesan. Both were very good, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking fresh homemade Italian food. The prices were typical for that which is normally paid at beach restaurants. ref: 8286 |

Yummy! In our party, we tried the Veal Alla Vodka and the Italian meatloaf...both were unreal. The portion size for the veal was enough that I had the rest for leftovers today. Calimari is the best, even my husband, the calimari-hater, chomped down on it. Only small disappointment was the Italian appetizer plate, and only because it wasn't what I was used to. We'll go again!!! ref: 8015 |

I have travelled all over the USA, and a fair amount of the world. There are only a few "Italian" places that stand out and Benny Rappas is one of them. Whenever I am in Myrtle Beach, I will eat with my golf buddies at least one night at Rappas. However, I do agree that there could be a little more pasta on the dishes, but the entree costs are way cheaper than DC. My only problem with the place is it's closeness to the highway. When I eat at a good restaurant, I don't like sirens and souped up cars screaming down the highway. Service has always been super in my 12+ times there. ref: 7440 |

I have been going to MB for 10 years now. I found Benny Rappas 5 years ago, and I wish I would have found it sooner. IT IS THE ONLY PLACE FOR ITALIAN FOOD IN MB. I have brought many friends and family there and everybody loves the food. Last year I had 19 people there for the day after Thanksgiving and everyone raved about the place. Although Benny wasn't there, he had his staff take care of us very well.
P.S. Try the garlic bread, it's the best in the city. ref: 2575 |

Personally, the prices are way too high for the amount of food your receive. Pasta is only 99 cents a pound and you are lucky if you get a handful. However, the food is good and the atmosphere is ok. I am Italian myself and originally from New York, but just don't get it over there. Over all...I wouldn't go back. ref: 2475 |

We had special orders done by the cook and they were both fabulous! We have been back and send friends often. The restaurant is small in size so the tables are a bit close, but the service is better than anywhere in Myrtle Beach! The warm bread is to die for! ref: 1513 |
