The food was excellent, good service, but stood with 2 kids for about 15 minutes when half the restaurant was empty. I asked the hostess if we could be seated to get drinks for the children and was told I would have to take my children to the bar. It really made no sense and 15 minutes later we were taken to our table that had sat vacant the entire time we waited.

After waiting 45 minutes to be seated and another 30 minutes to be served, our party was asked to leave the table as soon as the meal was finished. The waiter advised he needed the table to seat another party! Food was OK, but will never visit again!

My family and I met here for a night out. The food was excellent. The pizza was to die for. The only cons were the parking (limited) and the noise level in the restaurant. All-in-all, it was an awesome night out, and I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting North Myrtle Beach. I will be coming again.

We went to the new place and tried the pasta it is not good. Better bet is to just go to Ginos down the block not fancy but great food (past 31 in the home depot parking lot). My husband said the pizza is good here we will have to try that but with the wait and the noise I'm not sure it is worth it...

I and family ate here on a late Saturday night. It wasn't really busy at 9:30 pm food was good salad too. I had a Stromboli very good with salad others were eating calzones and Alfredo over noodles nothing special ther off kids meal. Server was a women which did not smile once and mad me feel as if I should have not come in at almost 10 o'clock In evening. Cost was ok and the price was alright for cheese and bread. I had one draft it was ok a Lil flat but that happens. I need to quit buying the over priced drafts but when they are notbfresh I hate myself for wasting the money.

Wow, what a great place! Choosing Benito's was a spur of the moment thing......actually we have 3 girls and we ask them to take turns choosing a restaurant to eat dinner at....our 10 y/o(Carly) chose Benito's...SMART GIRL!! Mama was a little leary when we first pulled in(doesn't look like a typical restaurant) but once we got inside, we knew Carly mad a great choice. In short, we were seated very quickly, served quick, food was delicious(calamari, mozzerella sticks, cesear salad, alfredo, stuffed shells and stromboli) and price was right! Already called the family that is visiting in the fall of 2011 and told them we found a hidden gem! See ya again next year Benito's!

Contrary to the previous review, Benito's is still there....but in a different building. The old place was razed and they moved next door. Same parking lot, more spaces, and a much nicer interior. Definitely a good move! The pizza is tasty, but with one caveat. The last two I've gotten were much too gloppy towards the center and didn't hold together well. A few pieces even fell apart when I did the NY fold. A more uniform crisp would do the trick, as the crust towards the edges holds together well and the outer crust has a nice char. But the pizza is still much better than most and is one of our two go-to places in NMB.

My biggest complaint here is the noise. If you can get a seat out front near the windows you have scored...otherwise you are at a table jammed up against other parties...and sometimes they are not pleasant. The food is good, the service is ok, but they need to work on seating.

The pizza here USED TO BE GOOD. But they have completely changed the crust. As a family, we went there as a must before this year. Now, we went back just to see if it was a one-time only bad pizza crust. Not so. And the family members that came in right behind us said they would never go back to that, their used-to-be favorite pizza place!

Not sure about the other reviews on here. The restaurant stayed busy our whole time there but the wait was not unreasonable. The server was busy but met our needs promptly. The eggplant parmesan was well cooked and tender. The calzone was full of mozzerella & ricotta, nice doneness to the crisp crust. Other patrons had pizza and were all well-pleased. Brick oven pizza is not thick crust, so to blast the place for having thin crust is like eating fried chicken and complaining about it being breaded. Atmosphere felt like that of a quaint family Italian restaurant. We will return again on our next trip to NMB.

We will never go back again. there are to many other place that want visitors money.

Overall, glad we waited it out. First time by, no parking and lots of folks waiting outside. Returned an hour later to find one parking spot (parking is poor at best) fewer folks outside, and waited 20 minutes just as the hostess had estimated. Once seated, service was great with our drinks and food arriving fairly quickly for such a packed house. We had four different 9" brick oven pizzas, all were great - as were the cheese garlic bread and salad appetizers. A bit noisy for me but my family didn't complain.

I have been to Benitos several times and if you love brick oven style pizza you should go too. The cust is thin and crispy. The pasta isn't the best but why go to a pizza joint for pasta? The service has always been great but they do try to get you out as soon as you are done. The plce is always packed but it's worth the wait and the longest we have waited has been about 15 minutes.

I love the type of atmosphere this place has, it is a little loud but we loved it, beer was cold, just wish they had draft beers on tap, over all I found it very good , and we will be back again! good! good! good!

Don't like it. Sorry. They just slap those pizzas in the oven, and send 'em out. As a local, I wondered why they were always so packed. Having eaten there, I still have no idea. Gave it two tries. Pizza. It is served hot, the crust is very thin, kind of crisp. Does not travel well, or reheat well. Loud, and they pack the folks in tight. And when you are done, they will whisk your butt right out the door. Toss that bill right down on the table. Pizza itself, too thin, so they can cook it in 8 minutes. The toppings will not be cooked. Forget about getting the pepperoni crisp and browned. That is how I asked for it both times. Nope. Oh well, one semi-negative review won't affect this little gold mine!

The 20 wait was 45, was still ok at this point because I just knew the food would be great. Got seated, there were a lot of large parties, so the place was very loud! Took over 15 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order, while the people next to us were seated at least 5 minutes after us already had their soup & salads. When our pizza finally came, it was wrong, so we had to wait for a new one. The food was average at best. By the time we got the right pizza, the family next to us were done eating. For 2 years I have wanted to eat there and was so disappointed.

We were told that Benito's was a good place to eat but that was as far from the truth that I have ever been told. I had baked ziti that wasn't baked at all just pasta with a bit of riccott stirred in with stewed tomatoes over the top.My husband ordered the pizza which was not quailty either. As a matter of fact, I believe they use the same sauce (if thats what you want to call it) on the pizza and pasta, which should never be done each should be their own. Our waiter was very nice and we tipped him well though the meal was garbage. The noise, o my the noise, you couldn't even hear yourself think. It seems to me that Benito is more concerned with making $$$ than serving a good meal.

This is always our first stop when visiting N.Myrtle Beach. It is a favorite with the locals and definitely worth the wait which is usually no more than 30-40 minutes tops. The food is excellent, especially the pizza and the calamari. Parking is limited so have someone go in to get your name on the waiting list while you're looking for a place to park. Staff has always been very friendly. We will definitely return again.

Hello, I've eaten at Benito's twice (but I've tried to go several more times). The first experience was the best. Very good pizza but unfortunately the service ain't the best. The hours of operation are a bit strange and the restaurant is closed Memorial Day weekend each year. While its advertised to be open until 9:30 p.m. on Friday nights, it isn't promised. I attempted to eat at the restaurant and arrived around 9:20 p.m. and was told that it was closed. That and being closed on Memorial Day Weekend have left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Visiting north myrtle beach SC from NJ, read good reviews on this restaurant on the internet, decided to check it out. Looked like a dive at first but food was pretty good, although the pizza could of been more crisp. As someone with high standards of Italian food, this restaurant would compare to some of my favorite restaurants up north if the pizza crust was crisper.

My family and I enjoyed the experiencee at Benitos. We have been coming to NMB for several years and this was the first year we had tried this particular restaurant. My wife and kids enjoyed the Pizza, and I had the Penne Pasta, which was very good with hearty portion. We were seated in less than a minute with the only drawback being the excessive noise, which is probably expected with very close quarters. We will definitely be back.

This is far the best pizza on the strip. If you are looking for genunine New York quality tasting pizza, there is nowhere else except Beneto's Brick Oven Pizza. We've been vacationing to Myrtle Beach since 1985, been to Beneto's approx 18 times, in fact we drive all the way up from Garden City Beach for their pizza. Even with the gas prices, Beneto's is worth the trip. Enjoy!

Great food - so good by wife and I ate there two nights in the row. As close to NY Pizza and Little Italy in NYC as you can get. Staff very friendly. Service could be faster but crowd overwhelms. Food was delivered fast and hot once the order was in. Better service in the bar area. Wait to be seated was about 20 minutes in main dining area, but open seating in small bar area was no wait at all and quieter. Forever a New Yorker.

Benitos simply has wonderful food. They don't open in the evening until 5pm, so it gets very crowded very fast, and it doesn't let up most of the evening. It may be a little too much for young kids, so I highly recommend that you bring things for your kids to do while waiting to be seated. We've noticed that most of the people who get frustrated have young children with them that are bored, hungry, and tired. At times service can be slow and the wait can be very long. But the food... ah! Isn't that why we go out to eat? Their pizzas and breads are cooked in a brick oven, and the liberal use of garlic and other Italian spices is perfect. They have delicious salads (especially the Greek salad). Benitos can be crowded, loud, and the wait can be quite long. But the food is some of the best in all of North Myrtle Beach, the beer is cold, and the prices are very reasonable. So, it is worth the minor inconveniences and occasional subpar service.

We go here each time we're in town for Bike Week. The food is very good and the price is really worth what you get. (Me and wife eat for about $22.00) The servers tend to "wander" at times but if you stay on them they move right into place. (Best pizza in Myrtle Beach)

Our third trip there, and will definately go back on our next vacation to N. Myrtle Beach. We were seated promptly, with a party of 32, although it was early, the food was served very quickly, hot, and excellent as always.Great server, hospitable, very clean and great atmosphere. Reminded me of our favorite local Italian restaurant.

We've gone there many, but not recently unfortunately, of times and we don't even live in SC! The food is wonderful and the restaurant itself makes you feel like you're in a small corner bistro in Italy. The service was not slow, but not nessacarily fast either. The restaurant was very noisy but only because there were many diners there that didn't know how to be quiet or respectful. We were seated in about 10-15 minutes which can feel like forever when you're waiting, but it's acutally pretty normal for a popular restaurant like Benito's. Many of the horrid things you all are experiencing is what any good over-stressed restaurant would be like. If you want the perfect Italian cuisine you must pay the price. Do not base a restaurant on the little part you saw whether it was good or bad. Give it another chance and I promise you'll be impressed.

We were told there was no good pizza in Myrtle Beach--were they ever wrong! Great pizza, and we went back a second time for a nice Italian dinner off the menu. Great food, very good service--It was in February, so no crowds and we didn't have to wait. Servers and other staff were all pleasant and helpful. Altogether a wonderful experience.

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. It is not a fancy place but the food was excellent. We had a combination of pizza and dishes off the menu. Wait time was very good for a Friday night--10-15 minutes. Service was fair--our waitress forgot us a few times but that will not deter us from returning. We own a second home down here and are always looking for good "NY style" pizza. We hit the jackpot when we dined here! Pizza was as good as NY! Dishes were huge and very reasonably priced.

I have been to this restaurant several times and each time the service gets worse. I love supporting local restaurants but I would not reccomend this restaurant at all. I had several bad experiences with dinning in so I decided to try ordering to go. Big mistake. The same woman has taken our order several times and always seems annoyed that she has to work. I have never seen her smile. The last time I was there the man who prepares the food was coughing all over the food. Both of these employees are always there so I think they they are the owners. The icing on the cake was their small child just sitting on the food prep counter in just a diaper.

I placed a "To Go" order over the phone. Was looking forward to a brick oven cooked pizza. The girl that took the order was short and rude, sounded hung over. When I showed up to pick up the pizza she had not written the order down so there was no record of the order. A nice young Italian guy said he would make me one real quick but I was so ticked off at the female who replyed "Oh, guess I forgot" I just turned around and walked out. I drove about a mile down the road and ordered a very good pinneaple and ham from Dominos.

What a mistake!! Ten minutes to be seated, requested a high chair which never came. We got menus, but no server. Three parties who entered after us (Non reservation eatery) were seated prior to us (at tables for 4 which we requested).

After 15 minutes of being ignored by the four waiters who entered and exited our section without acknowledging our presence, we left. (Would have been sooner but we walked 8 blocks carrying 2 small children.

On the way out, I was asked if we had put our name on the list to be seated. I explained our problem and the man stated if we came back he would see to it that we were taken care of. Too little too late after the aggravation.

Now to be fair, I can't honestly rate the food, or value since we received nothing to eat, however I had a relative who dined their early in the week who was far from impressed. NEVER AGAIN!

We feel very fortunate to have discovered this very special place that we go to on a weekly basis. The food is absolutely superb and cooked to order. It is hard to believe that the prices are as reasonable as they are, in comparison to other restaurants offering the same fare. Once the friendly staff know your likes and dislikes, they are quick to have a favorite drink ready as you enter the door, and, make suggestions as to what you might like to try for dinner. New dishes are consistently introduced to enhance the menu. The "family feel" to the atmosphere adds to your comfort level, as does the informal dress code (shorts, shirts and shoes and you are good to go! ) Attention to detail and friendly service is such a welcomed change to some of the businesses we have all experienced. Congratulations, Benito's! You've got it all!

My husband and I "happened" upon Benito's on a Saturday night at the beginning of Bike Week. We were immediately greeted, promptly seated, then got great solicited meal advice from our server. The atmosphere reminded me of a recent trip to Italy and the food was not only excellent, but I was so full that I had to get a to-go box. We will definitely dine here on our next visit.

As a former New Yorker, I can honestly tell you that Benitos has it all. As soon as you enter, you get the feeling of being whisked away to a Tuscany trattoria. Italian music will be heard faintly in the background as the friendly staff greet and seat you.The brick oven pizza is to die for, with as many fresh toppings as you can handle. The dinners are superb...flavorful and plentiful for the price. The wine selection is excellent and compliments the dinners perfectly. I have never had a single bad experience here and have been coming here for years. Anyone who appreciates great italian food and atmosphere will agree. Its the best.
