I have done Sunday AYE Breakfast here for like 2 months. I see clean, nice bikers and church folks and local families eating it up. Gets busy between 9 and 11:30am with a short wait line but worth every minute of waiting. Honestly I gorge myself on eggs and corned beef hash and biscuits with meaty sausage gravy it is so good. You make your own toast or bagel. The coffee is hot fresh and it's never decaff. 5 bucks for open breakfast bar is a great deal, knowing that most all of proceeds go to help local Community Special Needs and Benefits for those with special needs makes me feel good for eating there every Sunday. Good people at this place, a reunion type vibe where long time friends get together and make new friends. Very friendly service people, they are like family after a few visits.

Awesome atmosphere. The few negative reviews were typed by test monkeys from a failed NASA expirement , I'm sure. Anyway, awesome food, great service, best bike hangout in s.c. maybe not suited for a non-biker? But if your on 2 or 3 wheels you have to stop by there and enjoy the cheapest bottle beer in town.

Just left the Beaver Bar and watched the owner's son and his friends attempt to jump a small man and then his friends. It's businesses like this that give our community a bad reputation and I pray that this establishment gets closed down so real southern hospitality can be provided.

Went for the Sunday brunch...what a deal for 5 bucks!!! Walk in, pays your 5 bucks and get a 3 sectioned paper plate...walk down the end of the bar, and the food is set up..waiting!! Coffee and water on the end of the bar. Start with pancakes, biscuits and sausage, scrambled eggs, grits, corned beef hash(delicious!), sausage links and patties, and bacon...also, don't forget the cinnamon raisin toast, maybe bagels, and those chocolate and honey dipped donuts!!! can't beat it for a great Sunday brunch. The owner is around to the tables checking to see if everyone is satisfied. Also, smoking is allowed, but with the great smoke eaters, you wouldn't know that smoking is allowed!! Have been there the last 2 Sundays!!

That last review in January about the BVR BAR seems to be a jealous restaurant owner which comments had nothing to do with the Beaver Bar's, food, service, atmosphere, value, noise, cleanliness, etc, could there be some partiality in who reads and post these reviews, shame on u whoever u are, Sun News !

Was just going to write, "The Beaver Bar is an excellent local bar, that is often frequented by tourist as well". After reading the previous post I must add, The Beaver Bar has great staff and being in business many years must also say management isn't half bad either. Sounds like a disgruntled customer that may have had too much to drink. LOL!

My absolute favorite place to go especially on Sunday night! It is Karaoke night. Some of the best voices I have ever heard!! There were only a handful of people there that night, but the quality of singers were incredible. It is worth your time to visit the Beaver Bar sometime on your vacation. I did not eat there, but I will on my next trip.

My girlfriend and I were at Surside on vacation for the week of September 12 2011. I had read reviews about the Beaver. All seemed to be good. i went on Thursday night. First of all some Bikers were leaving as we arrive and i asked if my girlfriend, Sandra by could sit on back of one of the bikes and geta picture. He was more than acomidating. We went inside and sat right at the bar, Nice Alligator on the wall by the way. The special that night was all the fried oysters you could eat an excellent price. The came with three sides of which all were home made. We tried to get the recipe for the baked beans. We had all of the oysters that we could eat. With all of that and three bottle beers, and three mixed drinks the bill was less than $30.00. We had spent over $60.00 at another nice seafood place on Tuesday night. Everthing was excellent, friendly and attentive waitress and a nice gentleman sitting beside us. We were so impressed we went back Sunday night. I had a fried shrimp basket, Sandra had Flounder, still with all the trimmings. Excellent again. We met Don the owner who was very gracious and even bought a jar of his Barbecue sauce. We have already reccommended the Beaver to lots of friends. We will be at sSurside next year about the same time if not before and definitly be back to the Beaver Bar. We look forward to seeing you next time. Tanks again for your hospitality and great food BUNKY & SANDRA

Horrible. The service was terrible, the food awful, the owner crude and insulting. Definitely not a place to go even with your bike. The crab cakes were supposed to be "lump", but had no crab meat, let alone lump crab. We even took apart one to show the waitress, if she finally showed up. As we were photographing the crab cake to put up on the web, the waitress suddenly showed up and took away the plate, saying she would show it to the cook. She returned without it and said the owner told her to tell us she did not care. When we tried to talk with the owner, she got nasty. We paid and left at that point. There are many other places in Murrells Inlet that offer good food. You will not see my bike anywhere near there.

Me and a couple friends rolled in around 2 in the morning drunk off our a's wolloying in this place. The service was good, actually excellent. The bartenders were nice and never kept us waiting. The other "customers" were all drunk too dancing all around the bar, so the bartenders did their job providing alcohol. The place was bumping! Loved the music and sound system. Did not wanna leave when the man yelled "Pay your tabs and get out!" I was able to ride back home on the beaver bus. Which was good bc I was not about to ride with my drunk friends. So I will def come back at an earlier time so I can get my boogie on longer. :)

we live across the street from the Beaver Bar but last weekend was our first visit. We had been to the little bar a couple of times and enjoyed sitting and looking at the people come and go. Last weekend was a pleasant surprise. What a variety of people. We had the best time and not once did it get roudy or did we feel out of place..as we aren't bikers. We will be back and are happy to have a place we can go to and walk home instead of drive if we choose. Leslie(scratch), we are glad to have you as a neighbor.

My friends and I have been going to the beaver bar the last few weeks for line dancing lessons. We have had a blast. We were a little hesitate at first because we thought it was a biker bar, but everyone is friendly and you can't beat the prices. I've eated there several times and the food is great. The instructor, Jennette, is first class. We love going to the beaver bar, for fun, food and friends.

Never have been to The Beaver Bar and never new it was the owner's last name and I'm a Murrells Inlet local ! What a pleasant surprise. Good food, good service, pleasant atmosphere and I actually ran into other locals that have been patroning the Beaver the whole time. We shot pool, sat in the outdoor rockers under the oak tree, ate awesome oysters on the 1/2 shell and drank bottle beer for $2 ! I told my local neighbors and were going back as a group to hear the live music this weekend. We have a boat instead of a bike but we are definately looking at getting one to join the fun. I thought I'd never see the day or the inside of a biker / locals everything bar after hearing all the negative gossip. People, get a grip and visit, I know you will be pleasantly surprised and maybe some of you owe her an apology, what a great lady !

How great is the new location ! I walked in and it was if it had been there forever, never would have known it was new. Caters to everyone, bikers, boaters, golfers, especially locals. Not a wannabe biker bar, filthy with burnout smoke and poor service as the inlet has been known for. Thank goodness someone knows how to have good food, service and personality all under the same roof. Awesome deck with cute polite servers even during bike week. What a crowd and no drama at that great weekend opening or the very busy bike week even with a poor economy. We will go back, for sure !

I must say I was motivated to go to the Beaver Bar by the Karaoke show "Coyote Karaoke" who was actually only filling in for their regular guy whom I knew from another venue; however, it was a great experience. Not only did I enjoy the show, but I was afforded the opportunity to visit a type of bar that I normally don't frequent - a 'biker' bar. I gotta tell ya, those were some of the nicest ppl I've ever met and been around. The owner, Leslye came over and spoke to me and was most cordial and welcoming. The cook even came and let me know there was complimentary food available! Needless to say, the karaoke show was, in my biased opinion, lol- tops! Coyote is kinda 'karaoke royalty' in the area and as always presented a professional show fair to everyone there who wanted to participate. I enjoyed it famously. I'd gone online and found favorable reviews here and mentioned it to the owner who was surprised and unaware of this site, oh my! My only concern was that both doors were open initially and the a/c was struggling to cool the interior, but as the evening progressed, these were closed and ahhhhhhhhh, sweet cooling air prevailed. Thanks Leslye and company for a very enjoyable evening.

We came to murrells inlet on vacation and its too bad that we only discovered the Beaver Bar on our last night. It was a really good time. The crowd is great (21 and beyond) the music was great. We played plenty of rounds of pool with the locals. What great people. We will definetly come back next time we vacation in the area, but this time it'll be every night. I just found out this is a "biker bar". None of us were bikers and we were welcomed with open arms. I cannot wait to go back. The only reason I rated food only above average is because we didnt eat.

The drinks were first class, the atmosphere great. Definitely a place I would go to again if I ever came back to the Carolina's. I have lived in Murrells Inlet for 25 years, Leslie and her children are so awsome. If u need a friend they will be there for u. I have had some problems which Leslie has stepped up to help me out. She is a special lady with a special family. I wish everyone was like Leslie. She lets u know if something is not right and will not hold back anything to let u know what is going on.

I just want to Thank Leslie and her family for being a part of Murrells Inlet and gave us locals such a great place to hang out. No matter where u go, u always end up back at the Beaver Bar where it is home sweet home........Thanks Leslie

Great biker bar! The owner is cheerful, caring, and customer satisfaction is her concern. Beer is cold, lowest priced on the beach. Mixed drinks are only average in size and price, but if you're happy with ice cold beer, plenty of company, the thrill of motorcycles, and a wood buring pit or two in front, then sit in one of the MANY comfortable seats, rockers and tables the owner provided and you can relax for hours on end! Music is never over-powering so friendly chat and talk is easy....easier than in most any bar we've been in. FORGET SBB.......HIT THE BEAVER BAR!!!! The locals do, and YOU should too!
