Review: Okay, even coming from a young girl in college, I love this place!! It's so cool, the hostesses are always sweet, the waitstaff is very pleasant, the atmosphere is wonderful! You have a lot of space, with tons to look at while you wait a short amount of time for your food! The menu is to die for, and the seafood omelet is making my mouth water while I type this. They have many local paintings hanging on the wall that you can buy, and I love seeing local artists come in to paint! You won't be disappointed. I've eaten here about ten times, and every time, it's been amazing!

Review: This is one of our favorite restaurants to have brunch. My whole family loves to come here and dine, its cozy, comfortable, prices are reasonable, the waitstaff is good, the hostess is always sweet. The food tastes great! As a rule, I do not eat grits, but I love theirs and theirs is the ONLY ones I'll eat. However, I've looked at some of the other reviews most are the same as mine. Of course, every one has an off day or a bad day, but for the most part, they are all good reivews except the one. I keep seeing it over and over like it's looping through and it makes me think it's a COMPETITOR. I think that is so crass, please dont pay them any attention and go there anyway. Order the grits!

Review: Went to this establishment for fathers day brunch......in short, a dismal experience. The building is poorly air conditioned. There is too few wait staff. Our waitress was very polite, but obviously overworked as she was dripping in sweat.......use your imagination. We sat for 45min before food was served. The whipped cream on top on top of the pancakes and waffles had melted yielding a soggy mess. Again, a very poor eatery to which we will never return......a shame as we like to support local eateries.

Review: I love to eat at Applewood! They have great food, good prices and the atmosphere is fun. I always take an artist tour, like to look at their art while waiting. Love their omelettes and pancakes too. Wish I was closer and could eat here all the time.

Review: Da best breakfast on the east coast. The Omelets our scrumptious, my favorite, the king, Greek, chefs choice, really I love them all. The crab cakes Benedict. It's like this folks, when we visit Applewood, every body order different plates and all share. This is the best way to taste everything. The place is clean, lot of art hanging on the walls. The staff are very friendly, that makes you very welcome.

Review: I really like this restaurant. It is a reliable local place, with a friendly and happy atmosphere. There are many groups of people who go there regularly. I have a group of friends that meet there once a week for brunch. Their senior specials for breakfast are very popular, and their lunches are very good as well. It may be a bit noisy at times, but it doesn't bother us because we are a part of that chatty noise. The owners are gems, and very generous to the community. I am very glad that this restaurant is part of the Pawleys Island area, and I wish them much success.

Review: We went to the Applewood for breakfast on May 3rd. I ordered a vegetarian omlette. The first one came to the table. It looked dry but I took a bite anyway, it was awful burnt to a crisp on the bottom! I told the waitress and she said they would make another one for me. When my next one came out it sure wasn't burnt, no this time with was raw, cold and runny. At this point I gave up as my entire family had finished eating. This was the second time we had eaten here on vacation, the first time was Friday May 1st. I had the vegetarian fritta which was also really dry and tasteless, I wish I could recommend this place.

Review: My family has eaten at Applewood's House of Pancakes for years. Breakfast and lunch has always been prepared to our liking and the prices fit well with our limited income. Friendly atmosphere. Server takes a personal interest in making sure that you have a delightful meal and keeps my tea glass full. Try the weekend buffet. This is not written for an advertisement, but is written by a frequent participant of the restaurant who wants others not to miss out.

Review: My wife and I were on vacation for a couple of days at the beach. The first morning of our vacation my wife was craving a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwhich. The craving had to do a little bit with being pregnant, I was just hungry. The service we received at Applewood was great. The food was awesome and the prices were even better. For the same food back in Charlotte the price would of been double. The next day it was so good that we ate their again. Thanks Applewood, for keeping my wife happy!!!

Review: My family and I went for breakfast on the spur of the moment and seeing many cars outside thought it might be a long wait but the attention to service was excellent, our waitress very accommodating and the food well prepared with care taken to quality of ingredients. The children loved their pancakes and the adults enjoyed the omelets, poached eggs and endless coffee. A great family breakfast place!!!

Review: Absolutely delicious place to eat. First of all, it's just beautiful driving down there from myrtle beach. I love passing through surfside, murrels inlet, looking at brookgreen gardens, and then finally arriving to this beautiful breakfast eatery. Pancakes are huge, most people like them, but I think they are made with cornmeal... or at least mixed with cornmeal and flour. They are moist, but not my favorite, if I compare it to IHOP or Original Pancake House. Other than that, you must go and try this place, you won't be disappointed!
